Our friends at San Juan Island Sea Salt produce some of the finest sea salt in the world in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
All of this sea salt is hand-harvested and solar-evaporated. This is not the fastest way to make salt, nor the easiest, but this dedication to quality shows through in its flavor and consistency.
It also helps to know that the founder of SJISS, Brady Ryan, is a fellow young farmer and beekeeper and while we use our hoophouses to grow tomatoes and kale, he uses them to evaporate seawater into salt! We think that's pretty darn cool!
