Perhaps our favorite bee forage here on the farm, Phacelia tanacetifolia (Lacy Phacelia) is one of the coolest-looking, bee-friendly flowers you can possibly grow!
With showy purple flowers on fiddlehead-like blossoms and fern-like leaves, the blooms continue to unfurl and last incredibly long. This is a major benefit for a plant targeting pollinators and looks beautiful in the garden or across a whole field. Unlike some flowers whose blooms are painfully short, honeybees really benefit from the length of bloom-time - a nice floral buffet for weeks.
